First off, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone out there.
Secondly, you may have noticed that I haven't been posting to social media of lately, but rest assured that I have not completely forgotten this project. I have recently acquired a tablet, which will become the mobile base of operation and photo editor. With that, I will be able to edit photos on the fly and post them to social media as soon as I get them ready. Now that it is almost ready to go, I should be back to editing and creating content shortly.
I have plenty of reasons to be thankful for, but most importantly to the people that have visited and reacted to the material I have posted so far.
I have plenty to look forward to as well (for example new baby polar bears at the Zoo, revisiting some places I have been, and going to places that I have not been to before), and getting a couple of pieces of new equipment as well.
Thanks for everything so far

More Social Media News
I am currently writing several blog posts right now (to be published later this week as I catch up from website construction) but I am taking a break right now to make an announcement. I am now on Pinterest. Unlike the website and my other social media pages, Pinterest contains my own work as well as some work that I find inspiring. The page just launched, and should be fully operational at the end of the week.

The Next Step
With my online portfolio up and running (you can find it here) I now have more time to create content for all of the platforms C2 uses, including Google Plus and YouTube, which are the next platforms to go online. Before I go any further, here is a quick recap of what I have done so far (I used Adobe Spark for this video)....
Now on to my plans for the immediate future, at this time I plan to get some more shots (I should have some more content to play with at some point next week) and figuring out what I want to accomplish in 2017 (more on that in a future post). I am in the process of upgrading my editing capabilities with full versions of Photoshop CC, Lightroom CC, and Autodesk Pixlr. I also plan on using multiple methods to bring my content to the world, including Sway, and Adobe Spark (which I have used to create the video above.)
At some point down the road, I will begin the process of upgrading my current equipment, and acquiring some new gear. The upgrades will include a new computer, and my first DSLR camera. As for the new stuff, I am looking at a GoPro, and a 360 degree camera for immersive content. If all goes well, I will look to transition this from a hobby to doing this full time.
For now, I leave you with this......... Thanks for the support so far.

Updating the Blog (and some other things)
I have decided to give the blog a new look in anticipation of the launch of my portfolio website on Tuesday, bringing it in line with the look of the website. After the site launches, you can access this blog from a link at the upper left hand corner of the home page. While we're on the subject of the blog, I will try to update this much more often than I have done so far (after the website launches, I will have more time to devote to this end of the project.)
Speaking of the website, I have the look of it locked in, and need to finish two more galleries before the site goes live. There are some other things that I have planned for, such as video and creative stuff, that will come after I launch the website.
I will do one final round of photo shoots for the fall at some point during the next two weeks, and after that, I will devote more time to editing and creative stuff, and planning what I want to do next year.
For now, I leave you with a picture that will appear on the new website. It was taken during a recent trip to the Ohio Renaissance Festival.......
Thanks

A Quick Update
Apologies for the lack of activity on the blog, but I have been hard at work trying to come up with some creative ways to bring my content to the world.
While I try to figure out where I go from here, I will be generating new content as well to share with the world.
Look for this new material later this year

Hayden Falls: A Hidden Gem
I have lived on the Northwest Side of Columbus for the better part of 20 years now, and until earlier this year, had not been to Hayden Falls. This water fall is located at the corner of Hayden Run and Dublin Roads, and is a very popular attraction during the summer months. This waterfall is part of Hayden Run, a tributary that feeds into the Griggs Reservoir and the Scioto River.
If you decide to visit, please note that parking is extremely limited to a small lot that is not easy to get in or out of, and is across the bridge from the very accident prone intersection at Riverside Drive. During the summer months, the small lot fills pretty quickly. Once you leave your car, you access the falls by walking down some stairs, and navigating a boardwalk to the viewing platform.
The picture above, as well as the video were shot with a Nikon Coolpix L340 back in April.
Head over to my Facebook page to view more photos.

Coming Soon For Fall 2016
I will be the first to admit that doing this project is not a easy as it looks, as I am juggling multiple jobs while finding time to squeeze out some new content for the various platforms that I operate. That will change this weekend, when I finally get the chance to get out in to the field and get a bunch of photographs. Here is a short list of what you can expect to see on everything coming up for Fall 2016.
C2 Photography
- A fall update for the Hayden Falls gallery on Facebook (Will likely come as soon as the leaves start to turn colors)
- More pictures of Winston (the corgi that my family recently rescued) on Facebook and other platforms
- A bunch of shots of various places in Downtown Columbus (such as the Scioto Mile, The Arena District, Topiary Park and Scioto Audubon Metro Park) on all platforms
- Fall Photos from various parks around town
- The You Tube Channel
- The Website
- and more.........

Welcome to the New Blog (and an Update on the Upcoming Website)
Hello Friends, and welcome to my new Blog for C2 Photography. Here you will find some background information about where my photos are taken, as well as some helpful hints if you wish to take some pictures on your own (such as with a cell phone, or a digital camera.)
I started this project with a couple of galleries on Facebook, and it has grown to include Twitter, Instagram, this blog, and my new YouTube page, which will go online this weekend after I get some more material.
As for the website, well that has taken a bit of time and patience (especially when my domain page freezes up my laptop.) But I am confident that I will have those issues resolved in short order and will have that site up shortly after that.
For now, here is a photo to hold you over
Thanks
